In addition to that, I´ve been nominated for the "Staatspreis für Design 2011".
I´ll see how that turns out on December 1. Exciting times.

This one now has about 10 times the number of VFX-Shots as the first Jurrasic Park film - and I´m just one single guy working on it. For a few hours a week. So stop asking. Really soon now, I promise.

In my spare time (read: this happens rarely) , I like to shoot music videos. you might ask: "well, how the hell is this different from your dayjob" and you´d be suprised to know that, although the basic process is kind of the same, having complete creative control over the final product can be a cathartic experience.
Since I will not bog down this blog with the nitty-critty details on the run-up, production and postproduction of these videos, I decided to to publish another blog, focused on my music video insomnia. Enjoy.

Gearing up to shoot a new music video over the weekend. Take a look at some of the sets. This is going to be a lot of fun. Any resemblance to the cinematographic style of David Fincher are, of course, totally coincidental.

Go ahead and activate the native b&w mode of your camera for a day and limit yourself to b&w-shooting. forget about color. focus on composition and contrast. sometimes less can be more.
